Very few of them made the final table and Danny Suied from Hallandale Florida was the one who dominated the game in the first hours. His aggressive strategy paid off, because once he got in command he never relinquished the lead. The fiercest competitor was David Smith from New York who challenged him in the heads up, but none of the players were particularly interested in the outcome. The reason is that when only four players were left in the game, they decided to discuss the terms of the deal and an agreement was reached shortly. This explains why the difference between the winner and the one who finished in the fourth place was just a bit over $30,000. Daniel Colman wins his first WPT Alpha 8 event

What makes his performance impressive is that he accomplished all this in one year and he is entitled to expect even better things to come his way in 2015 and beyond. The final table was quite competitive, with the remaining players deciding not to split the pot and instead play until the final hand was dealt. Since no deal was made, it was obvious that the runner-up will end up winning more than $1 million, while the winner will take home $1,446,710. The heads-up took less than expected, with Dan prevailing after just a couple of hands, taking his overall cashes to $20 million.
