Ok, so there's a lot on my mind here and I'll try to break it down as clearly as possible. (Also I'm sorry if any of this has been mentioned before and I haven't seen it). As psychotic as it sounds, I think it would be really cool to have your Paralives be really influenced by money. Money is a HUGE factor in real life, so I think it should be a major point in a life simulation game. Some of these ideas might be lame or too intricate for some players, but I think they'd be SO COOL if they were included. (Maybe there could be setting options to turn some of these on/off too) Starting Funds What if each family started out with a DIFFERENT starting fund? In The Sims, it's kind of based on how many people are in the family, but every family is pretty much the same. What if there were some questions you could answer in the create-a-family section that determines how much money you start out with? Like whether the parents already have college degrees/stable careers, if they have debt, if they have other things that would influence their monthly payments, etc. So maybe there could be a way to start out with a certain NET WORTH rather than a set amount of funds. Maybe your family was born rich, or born poor, or just middle of the road. Emergencies It's a life simulation game. Emergencies happen! Maybe there could be car accidents, little Timmy fell off the jungle gym and broke his arm, Mom got food poisoning from the evil Karen at the parent/teacher conference, Grandpa had a heart attack. There could be a popup that gives you the option to go to the hospital, the doctor, an urgent care, or just deal with it at home. Each option would result in a different bill you receive and have to pay. And depending on the severity of the emergency, it could go really well...or really bad for your Para. (But I think you could also have the option to change your mind if you wanted to go to the hospital rather than sleeping it off.) Maybe every action could have a behind-the-scenes percentage of whether or not an accident could happen with it or not. (Similar to if your Sim catches food on fire, or if your Sim gets pregnant after trying for a baby, etc.) You could also choose a home birth or a hospital delivery, depending on if you want the bill or not. Health Insurance You could choose whether or not to have health insurance. You could choose whether you want to have a percentage taken out of your paycheck for it or not. If you want all of your family members covered on the plan and what types of things would be covered on your plan (health, vision, dental, etc.) and depending on the plan and how much percentage is taken out of your check, this could have a direct impact on the amount of the bill you receive (maybe you only pay 20%, or maybe it's fully covered, etc.). I do realize this is a very American thing, so I get it if it doesn't go over very well in other countries and wouldn't be included lol. Maybe there could be a settings feature to turn this off or on? Weddings/Marriage/Divorce Depending on the size of your wedding, you could end up with a huge bill, or make a profit! You could set a budget for your wedding and each little factor could change the total cost of the wedding. You could do it DIY and make specific changes to everything. In real life, there are also wedding venues (or wedding planners) that take care of everything and just tell you the total price. Both of these options could be good for players who want total control over the details or just have it done for them. Then, depending on the number of guests (or how rich/poor the guests are), they could give you really NICE gifts/cash or not-so-great gifts/no cash. Maybe you could also opt to have a giftless wedding or a cash-only wedding. You could also marry a rich Para and get rich quickly that way. Or you could marry a poor Sim and acquire their debts, bringing down your net worth. You could also have a very nice and clean divorce or an ugly one that requires lawyers. Depending on how the divorce goes, (maybe one Para wants the divorce and the other doesn't??) you may have to spend more on a lawyer, or they could both agree and it could be free of cost. Child Support/Alimony In continuation of the divorce bit... If you have assets together, you may need to hire a lawyer to mitigate alimony and/or child support. Depending on the assets/children/etc., you may have to pay the other Para a certain amount, you may receive payments, or it may be an even split and neither party owes anything. There could also be an option to go lawyer-less and just work it out with the other Para (if they are willing, of course...) Lotteries/Casinos I know in The Sims, there's Lottery Day (I think it comes with Seasons?) where you can buy a lottery ticket for $100 and you may or may not win. I think this could be fun if it were an option all the time! And there could be different types of lotteries you could win and different types of prizes. Maybe some tickets could be a MILLION dollars and you have a 1% chance of winning. Maybe it's a scratch-off ticket that you could win $10,000 on and you have a 4% chance of winning. Maybe it's a car, movie tickets, etc. It doesn't just have to be cash. This could be demonstrated as a popup, or they could go to a gas station to buy tickets. There could also be casinos you could go to and have the same types of winning chances. Just a thought there :) Addictions? This could be triggering, so maybe there could be a settings option to turn this off or on. Not necessarily drug or alcohol addictions (although, maybe there could be references, kind of like how The Sims uses juice to represent alcohol, etc.), but maybe there could be things that the Paras can get addicted to and they could either indulge in their addictions or spend money to get help for it. It could be things like the aforementioned lottery tickets/casinos, maybe addicted to a certain type of food (grilled cheese aspiration anyone??), maybe they have a video game addiction, etc. To bring this point back to money - some addictions may cost more than others. Like if they ONLY like the highest priced food items, or they're spending a lot on lottery tickets, etc. They could go to rehab to cure them of their addictions. Utilities You could choose different companies to go through for your different utilities and choose whether you want them or not. Power, Water, Sewer, Trash, Internet, Phone, etc. Maybe some companies bundle plans together and you get a discount. And depending on the company, you may have really good service or really bad service. You could choose to move between phone companies/internet companies, etc. And maybe you don't want cable TV because you just want to stream TVs and movies from the internet, so you could choose what access you have. Maybe some of the companies require a deposit if they're highly rated or something of that nature. Credit Cards, Loans, Mortgages, and Other Debts Personally, I don't like being tied to what's only in my Sim's bank. I think it could be cool to have credit cards, loans, etc. If there's a pre-built house that you REALLY want your Sims to have, you could take out a mortgage and you could have monthly payments. You could also take out a loan if you're renovating a certain room in your house or need help to cover other debts. You could also do credit cards if you don't want to take out a full loan, etc. This could be a fun opportunity to bring back the repo-man. Your Paras could also have a credit score, so if you pay your bills on time and aren't super deep in other debts, you have the chance to have a higher loan/mortgage/credit limit. And if you don't pay for it, you could get things taken away. Bankruptcy In continuation of the last point, if your Paras are too deep in the debt and can't seem to get out of it, they could file bankruptcy. They'd have to pay for a lawyer to clear their records. There could also be a setting to turn credit on/off, as I could see how credit could be an annoying feature for some players. Different Bank Accounts for Each Family Member You could have a bank account for each family member or have everything bundled into one. Your kids could have a piggy bank or your teenager could have a part-time job. It would be nice to keep things separated (or all put together) if you want one person in the family to be working towards a certain goal. (Teenager wants a car, the boyfriend is saving up for a ring for the girlfriend, etc.) You could also get a savings account(s) and dedicate each account towards something. Future house goals, wedding, vacation, emergency funds, etc. Maybe stocks/investments could be a part of that too? House Issues/Value In continuation of emergencies, there could be different house problems that come up. Some things could be small and easily fixable by your Para people, like a broken TV/computer (you could either replace it, fix it yourself, or pay someone to fix it like you can do in the Sims) but maybe there are some other house emergencies that could happen. A tree falls on the roof and you have to pay to get that fixed, a burglar busts down your front door or breaks a window, a pipe burst, and your entire basement gets flooded, etc. You could still choose the same things, like replace it, pay someone to fix it or fix it yourself. If you fix it yourself and you're not handy, it may make it worse, better, or it could just happen again. Depending on the severity of the issue and/or the fix of the issue, it could affect the overall value of the house. You could choose to ignore the giant hole in the roof, but if you ever want to sell the house, you're not going to get as much money as a house with a brand new roof. Over time, parts of your house could start to decay (like roofs, floors, walls, etc.) and they may need updated after a certain amount of time. This could be dependent on factors like the quality of the item you used in the first place. Cheap roofs would need to be replaced sooner than a really high-quality roof, etc. Heavy-traffic rooms may need the carpet replaced, there could be stains, marks, etc. that gradually build up over time. Selling a House In continuation to the last note above, you could choose to sell your house and have it be put on the market. You could have a few options with this, which depending on the type of player you are, could be very beneficial. One option could be to just sell it as is. You may not get as much money for it, but you could just instantly sell the house to someone who buys up houses (Like an Ug buys Ugly Houses type of person). This could be a good feature for a player that just wants their Sim to move. You could also sell by owner or go through an agency. If you sell by owner, you may get lower offers on the house from different buyers. If you go through an agency, you may get higher bids, but you would also have to pay certain closing costs, etc. You could also have an appraiser-like person come to your house before you decide to sell and let you know what things you could change that would improve the overall value of your house and what things are already really good. (You should replace the carpet, replace the windows, doors, etc.) Once you're ready to sell, there could be a list of 3 or 4 families who want to buy your house with different offers (maybe they could also have contingencies, like I'll pay you what you're asking if you change the carpet, etc.) and you could pick which one you want to do. If there are contingencies, it could be based on what the appraiser noted if you didn't make the changes they mentioned. Become a landlord or a flipper Maybe instead of selling the house, you just want people to pay you directly month by month. You could set your house (or maybe even just a room/part of your house) for rent and have a list of people who want to live there that you could choose from. They could each have things about them that could make them a good or a bad tenant. For example, maybe they're VERY accident-prone and things break very easily. You may or may not want this type of tenant. Or maybe they're really clean people (which could be nice) but they are very picky and may be calling you to fix things all the time. You could be a good landlord and go take care of your tenants, or you could be a bad landlord and ignore them, which they'd eventually stop paying and leave. You could also choose to kick the tenants out if you want new tenants or if you just want to sell it instead of renting it out anymore. You could also just buy up bad houses, improve/flip the houses, then sell them/rent them out for profit! Buying or renting a house Opposite of selling a house, you could also go through a process for buying or renting a house. You could have the option to just buy a house as-is (good for players who just want to get to the point). Or you could go through an agent/realtor who can help you find the perfect house for what you're looking for. You could enter details like the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, price point, etc., and they could give you a list of houses. Some of them may be in great shape or some could be in not-so-great shape. You could choose to place an offer on the house or you could choose to set contingencies. If you go through the realtor, they could also give you insights on whether the seller is willing to sell for lower than asking-price or not, willing to work with contingencies, etc. Ok, those are my ideas 😂😂 This ended up being way longer than I thought, but I think these would be cool ideas.
I Have A Huge Casino Slot Addiction ! I Need Help ! This Is My Story , Thanks In Advance To Anyone Who Takes The Time To Read / Provide Any Info , Criticism Or Advice
My story is a long one and gets crazy and need to vent .. I appreciate whoever takes the time to read ... I'm currently 26 it all started about 5 years ago .. my wife ( fiance at the time ) took me to my first casino trip . I had never been .. were a lower class family have 4 kids and don't make much together but we get by , we went with our income tax check took half of it around 4k ... I found myself in a high roller room betting 50$ dollar spins on Vgt Slots and I hit my first jackpot for 12k ... It was amazing .. after taking my i.d and ss info signed a few paper work 10 minutes later they came and handed me a w-2 and 12 K ALL IN CASH ! Tbh it's the most cash I ever seen in my life and from that moment on I WAS HOOKED ... I took that money and kept playing ended up even winning more Jackpots around 30K in total when all was said and done that weekend ... Never had all this much money in my hands at once .. I had so much luck couldn't believe it .. I did nothing smart with the 30k , I ended up putting down a 15k down payment on a nice used chevy tahoe ( I COULD OF BOUGHT IT AND OWNED IT FOR 22K !) But I WANTED MORE MONEY TO GAMBLE ) I put down that huge down payment and got hit with huge interest and a high monthly payments for 4 years ( lost the truck 2 years latter due to only 2 missed payments ) the rest of the money I had I went back to the casino with chasing more Jackpots and lost it all !! Fast forward 5 years later I've won a total of around 150k in jackpots have never paid taxes on none of them ! Ive never filled taxes before all the jobs I have have been hard labor and under the table .. I worry about how much I owe in taxes but I still gamble to this day... Every year since that year we take half our income tax and go up there and bet on high roller slots 25 to 100$ dollar spins ! and end up loosing it all !.. my wife who is a waitress sometimes makes extra money on a lucky day and instead of saving a dollar it's all spent right at the casino ! I' have not a single thing to show for the 150k I've won ! And less then 10 dollars in my bank account currently , have overrdrafted my account so many times to go play slots .. sold a car of mine one time a older cadillac for 5k$ the only car I've ever actually owned and hadn't financed , sold it just to go gabmle and play slots because it was saints Patrick's day ! Went up there and lost the whole 5 k immediately within less then a hour ! It doesn't help that we live about an hour from Windstar and near by Oklahoma's major casinos .. I think my problem stems from always chasing that higher jackpot the life changing one that will never happen ... My highest to date is only 14k , but I've literally gotten off a machine one time after it drained me for 3k and watched another lady sit down and win 69k !! So I'm constaly chasing that .. it makes me feel sick tho when I think about what life would be like if I saved that money over the years I would maybe have 69k in my bank account ! I know I've giving well over that all too the slots ! And for the last 2 years the machines have been so tight and I can't win no matter how hard I try no matter how hard I play .. I just want this horrible disease out my life .. I have no family alive besides my beautiful children and my wife the problem is here whole family , mom , dad , sisters , brothers , ants , cousins , are all addicted to gambling , casinos , game Rooms , scratch off tickets as well ! .. just feel sick and disgusted with myself , all the money I've lost .. being 26 not having anything to my name , gambling has destroyed me .. I even got hooked on game Rooms in lower class neighborhoods and ended up homeless sleeping under a bridge days a time due strickly to a gambling addiction ! No drugs involved ! That's a whole nother story but I believe I overcame that only because I realized how crappy gas station and game room machine are after throwing hundreds and hundreds in you almost or barely every hit anything and can't never win nothing huge .. I use to throw whatever I had in my wallet hundreds at a time into any slot machine I'd see at a gas station and feel sick to my stomach when I lost it all then go back and chase it again ,! But thankfully it's been a year and I walk past game Rooms and gas station slots often and I don't even think about touching them knowing how tight and worthless they are and how they had me sleeping outside ... But the casino on the other hand is still a sincere problem ... Knowing the chance of winning huge jackpots having the ability to win huge jackpots .... Been with the same woman for 8 years and we have never once been on vacation any chance we get to be away from the kids and our idea of a get away or fun is a trip to casino ! Can we please stop complaining about MTX and P2W? Here me out... Background: I started playing Dauntless just after Shock Esca dropped and fell in love with it. I worked hard to get all the best gear and cells. I took a lot of crap on here from Vets for running IB builds. I was constantly told to git gud. I started running with a Vet who helped me learn to git gud. I went from all IB builds to running META builds and doing flawless hammer speed runs (some of the videos are floating around here somewhere still). I ended up overly influenced by that Vet and ended up leaving Dauntless the 2nd day of Umbral ESCA. I came back 2 weeks ago and love it! When we (me, the Vet, and a couple other slayers/content creators) left Dauntless last spring we all hit another cross-play RPG game (I won't name it). Suffice it to say, I blew a ton of real cash on that game. And it was not simply for skins, emotes, flairs, etc. This game allowed you to have 1 rez pip. You could own multiple, but only 1 could be taken into the battle... and the battle wasn't just 1 monster, it was hundreds before you got to the boss fight. If you tried to solo the level you had one shot! The only way to complete the level was to buy a rez after dying. You could own 20 rez pips in the inventory but you had to buy a new one to use it. The game had literally 50 side merchants, and a damn casino, that you paid real $ to play, in hopes you could unlock the desired cosmetic you wanted (you could not simply buy the cosmetic set you wanted). You HAD to keep a ton of parts, drops, perks, orbs, shards, gems, meat pieces, spores, fish, etc to give to these side merchants in order to unlock pieces to upgrade your gear. Guess what... you could only hold 50 pieces on you per run... but you could buy 10 more slots for $10 real $. You could transfer it out to locker storage while in the hunt so you could grab more, but even that storage was limited and could be expanded with real $. Simply don't gather so much you say... HA! a single normal hunt awarded 200+ items... then there were event hunts that would give you nearly 500+ items... and if your party was done collecting the boss drops and initiated a new instance, the boss drops were lost because you didn't have the storage space to collect them. So you paid for all the extra in hunt inventory slots and extra locker storage to transfer it to, and you gathered all the parts and pieces to finally level up the sword... oops, you moved them all to the monthly rented locker storage and didn't get them out before your month's rent was up... you guessed it... padlock on your storage... gotta buy another month's rent to get in there and get the parts out. You also had to buy (with real $) scratch tickets to possibly unlock the cosmetics you wanted. There were 4 different character types, male and female of each, and 4 part sets of armor cosmetics (like Dauntless), but it was no guarantee that you would get all 4 pieces or even your gender. Not only that, you could get no armor from the ticket, just a random fluffy bunny back bling. You might think, just don't buy the tickets. Not so easy. If you wanted to power up your gear and weapons you had to unlock the perks. You could grind for them (much harder than here), or you could buy them in a market from other players. The way to get the money to buy them from other players... you guessed it... gotta sell your scratch it items to another player that wants them to get the in game currency to buy your perks from another player. The Fashion aspect of Dauntless is amazing... but there is no use for them in the game aside from Fashion. In this other game you could equip skins, load them into your Fashion page, and the other players could award you in game currency for how good you looked. Do you want to change your colors? Had to buy a pass to the salon with real $ to change a single color... one time... Finally leveled up that new weapon or bought a new weapon skin (also not dyable like in Dauntless) and want to make your character match the color scheme... gotta buy a new salon pass... want to change your helmet... salon pass... new boots... salon pass... Just don't participate in the fashion... sure... but lose the in game currency awarded for being a fashionista... Imagine PHXL selling you your ability to self rez for $2.50 each, charging you $10 to collect 10 essential gear leveling drop parts at a time or lose them (and overloading collectibles with random auto-collect BS pieces)... didn't kill Urska, but broke all his parts? Oh well, you don't get to keep them unless you buy a self rez, clean out your inventory (while he is still trying to kill you again), and gather those parts without getting killed again... Want that +3 cell... you can grind hard for 50 +1 cells that you can't combine into a +3 without bribing the MM with real $ every time you want to level a cell, or buy a scratch it for $10, sell off any random good piece to another slayer, then buy that cell from a different slayer that got lucky on a $10 scratch it... but that cell is 1,000,000,000 protorams... better buy more $10 scratch its to get more fashion parts to sell at 1,000-12,000 protorams each... Imagine not being able to change the colors on your skins without paying real $ to equip skins and dyes you already paid real $ to buy. That, my friends, is the essence of Pay 2 Play/Pay 2 Win. You COULD NOT level gear and advance without paying real $. Dauntless sells cosmetics. Cosmetics do not influence your gear level, power, perks, cells. Aetherhearts and sparks a grind to get? Could buy them for a little real $? A little P2W??? yeah. But it is far from P2W and forced MTX. PHXL needs $ to pay employees to keep the content coming and fix all the bugs we bitch about all day. Give them their due, quit complaining, equip IB in your builds, dye your skins to your heart's content, grind your gear, git gud, slay Behemoths, ignore META heads, watch videos of Cpt Maelstrom soloing Dauntless Trials in 3 seconds, show off your fashion, and have fun doing it pretty much for free!

I know I'm making a blanket statement but I think this is justified. The overwhelming majority of Lottery people I encounter are complete selfish fuck wits. Maybe it's just my area, idk. I'm posting here because I hope you guys understand. I don't work in retail per se. I'm the guy who delivers and stocks chips and snacks to gas stations, convenience stores, small grocery stores etc etc. One of the most aggravating things about my job is paperwork. I usually can't begin stocking until my order is gone over and signed by a store employee. Often times there's only one employee working in these places and they're sometimes busy serving people. Fine. I don't mind that. Sometimes things get a bit busy and most of these transactions are for gas, donuts, drinks, cigarettes etc and take 30 seconds. However more often than not, I get held up by one of these fucking idiots who is addicted to the lottery. Now I don't know really how to describe these people without sounding a bit condescending, so whatever. I really don't know how to react sometimes. It's sad seeing an actual addict getting their fix in front of me, but it's also frustrating having to deal with their selfishness. How do they bug me and MANY other people who just want to make a quick transaction at the corner store? Here's how. They refuse to use the self scanner and make the cashier check and print ALL 4326 of their tickets. The machine might glitch. Ya never know right? There's even a fucking App in my province that will check your tickets Scratch ticket fools. Out of all the games, scratch tickets are probably the most addicting but pointless transactions. Do people actually make a profit on those things? Anyways, a lot of people will buy a scratcher and scratch it right there. If they win, they continue to play. I'm sorry, but I'm not allowed to buy a Sprite, drink it right there and decide that I want a skittles. Why them? Also, what the heck is up with checking out scratch tickets before you buy them? THEY'RE. ALL. THE. SAME. Looking at the back of it isn't going to give you ANY clues. I've had people check the back of EACH ticket in the tray. The littering is sickening. Any circle K by me is littered with used scratch tickets all over the floor and shelves. These jackasses can't even be bothered to throw it in the garbage in the parking lot. Also, Why do these people always seem to have several thousand tickets to check? Also, these people tend to be rude as well. They take out their anger and frustration from not getting their fix on the clerks. I've seen a few clerks blamed for them not winning. I've seen clerks get berated for refusing to pay out large amounts from dozens of tickets. Some small stores don't have enough cash in the register, but dammit, these addicts need all the money NOW! I've seen countless people accuse the clerk of scamming them. Yea dumbass, I'm sure they would willingly risk having their lotto license revoked by messing with government revenue. Shut the fuck up. I've had to raise my voice a few times to tell these people to move while I'm bringing product into the store. The Addiction causes them to drown out the rest of the world while scratching and filling in numbers. If you think about it, these are fucking grocery and store clerks having to deal face to face with gambling addicts. Just as dangerous as dealing with some alcoholics in stores. Not only do these people inconvenience me and delay my day, other people get pissed off too. I live in Canada so people don't really vocalize their displauree much, but you can see it in their expression and demeanor. I once had to wait 15 minutes while literally half a dozen of these fools made their transactions in a row. I can't wait for casinos to open back up that way some of tjem can waste their money without holding people up or threatening them.

Hey everyone, it's me again, that wall of text guy from the overwhelmed or lost post. I wanted to go over a few other things I get asked about a lot in a few more little tips and guides so bear with 'my new to reddit poor formatting skills' at least one more time! Thank you so much for your support on the last post and I hope this one helps you or someone you know too!
[Free to Play - Inventory Management]
First and foremost as a free to play player you have a few limitations versus someone willing to spend BUT ultimately you're not gated or any worse off at all. The most obvious difference versus someone spending money is going to be your inventory size. Luckily, in PSO2 you can send items straight to your storage from the field. The best way to do this, that wasn't clear to everyone on console at least, is you can hold the [Right Trigger] on controller or I believe [Shift] on Keyboard to select multiple items at once. After you have them all highlighted you can quickly send items to your storage and then sort them out after when you get back to town. Knowing what to pick up helps a lot as well. Unless you really need to feed your MAG and have nothing else OR you just fought a boss that drops a valuable soul or augment, there is little reason to pick up the low rarity items and they can clutter your inventory. Completing Emergency trials will sometimes also award you with low rarity units and weapons which can be discarded for space. Items you have equipped can not be sent to the storage so you don't have to worry about that. Just quickly highlight the tab (weapons, units, discs, materials, etc.) you'd like to send to storage and send away! I would avoid using the [All] items tab just in case you accidentally send all your healing Mate and Atomizer items to the storage. I went over this in my other post but just to reiterate here. Unless the item has high value augments on it you generally want to:
7-9 star items you can sell at a vendor if you dont need to feed them to your mag or use them to enhance
10 star weapons you can turn into Excubes or Photon Spheres if you need them more
5x 10 star units you can turn into a Photon Sphere
3x 12 star weapons you can turn into Lambda Grinders
All of this can be done at the [Swap Shop] which can be found in your menu under the shopping cart [Store] and then selecting [Swap Shop]. The actual store stand is found south of the concert area in the Shopping Plaza (the Funporium is found here too). When I sort my inventory I try to leave at least one Photon Booster, Unique Weapon Badge and Grinder in my inventory because you will almost certainly get one in the mission almost immediately and it helps me plan how much space I have better.
[Free to Play - Maxing the Classes]
Another limitation on Free to Play players is you only have one MAG. This can make it feel awkward to level all the classes to max level for those sweet sweet title bonuses when you're a Force with a 200 Melee MAG. Don't worry too much! You have 3 characters made (because you want those extra skill reset passes, right?!) and each one of them has a MAG. This next part takes a little bit of pre planning and a little more effort up front but the payoff is worth it. You're going to take the classes you want to play and designate and level those classes with that one character by MAG stat. Something like this: Melee MAG Character:

Techter - Wand Smack

You can also make a Dex MAG instead for Bouncer and Braver and use one of those classes as the sub for any other class. Any class you hit 75 on gives permanent bonuses to all other characters on your "account" and playing in this way you dont end up with any weird instances like I said before where you have a 200 Melee MAG on your Force. You only need to level Braver and Techter once to 75, just pick which playstyle you like (or level Braver twice so you can Bow or Katana if you like!). It might seem like a lot of work at first juggling 3 characters BUT when you hit level 50 on all 3 characters you'll be making some serious meseta every week by completing the Daily and Weekly ARKS Missions and Yerkses turn-ins. In fact, even if you are Premium, I recommend doing this for the meseta anyways and to my understanding you'll later get extra chances at Tokyo Gold and Silver keys by having multiple characters also. Maybe one of our JP big brothers or sisters can confirm that?!
[Free to Play - Personal Shop and Trading]
This is what I get asked about the most. "How am I supposed to make meseta when I can't sell items on the [Personal Shop]?" No worries friends! You CAN sell items on the [Personal Shop] Here's how! You need a consumable item called the Personal Shop (3 day) Pass which will let you, crazily enough, use the personal shop for 3 days. The Pass can obtained from FUN scratch tickets which can seem frustrating at first but as you get higher in levels and 10 star weapons become more common it will be more of an afterthought. Upstairs in the northern area of the Shopping Plaza (when facing the Casino exit turn left up the stairs) is a set of Badge and Exchange Vendors lit by a red billboard light. You're looking for the vendor 2nd from the left, the Excube Exchange vendor. For 2 Excubes you can get a FUN ticket which gives you 1000 FUN points. You then use those 1000 points for 10 FUN scratch tickets until you get a Personal Shop pass. This is also where you get 250% Rarity Boosts for 6 Excubes (dont worry about these until 75) and 75% Experience boosts (for when you inevitably run out of free ones). You can have an Experience boost, Rarity boost, Meseta Boost, Triboost and Ex Triboost active at once. Any extra passes you get just store for when you need them. In fact, if you don't have anything stockpiled to sell yet or 1 item that you know will sell for a lot, I would wait to use the ticket until you do. Again, you can get Excubes en masse from [Swap Shop]ing 10 star weapons into them. Once you have one you can do some tricks with friends like 'trading' meseta by selling a Monomate for millions of Meseta. You are going to eat the meseta tax but it's better than nothing! In fact you can use this to get 13 star weapons over to your friends too by having them do the Monomate trick for the amount you want to sell the weapon for (don't put it up for 1000 meseta unless you are okay with the possibility of someone else buying it) and then you put up the weapon you want to give them and they buy it with the Meseta you just gave them which gets sent right back to you. Again you will eat the tax on it, but what's a few taxes between friends?! For those that don't like taxes between friends, if one of you are premium and you're trying to give your non premium friend some items or such, you can go to the [Funporium] near the [Swap Shop] south of the concert area in the Shopping Plaza and for 3000 FUN points (6 Excubes) you can get a [PRE Box]. A [PRE Box] is basically a gift box and to use it you go to your friends [Personal Quarters]. Do this by pushing [Back] button on Xbox or [End] key on keyboard by default to go to your own room and to visit someone else's find their name on your Friends List, Alliance List or Nearby Characters List and select their name then [Communications] then [Visit Personal Quarters]. Now go to your friends Personal Quarters control panel, and like it's your room, go to [Place Furniture]. If your friends room is maxed out for furniture limit they will have to pick something up so you can place. THIS NEXT PART IS IMPORTANT Once you place the box it immediately asks you in a new menu if you want to [Place an Item] or [Place Meseta] I believe. If you back out now or place the wrong thing you will place an empty box or wrong item in their room and lose that 3000 FUN, so go slow.
[Free to Play - Generating Star Gems]
I know everyone has 3 characters made already (right?! Skill resets everyone, do itttt!) and because you do there's something you can do that seems a little tedious at first but becomes less so later when you're logging your character for Daily ARKS missions anyway. Even if your other characters are Level 1 though, they can still earn you Star Gems daily. Wearing an AC Scratch Ticket Outfit will generate 10 star gems from your costume, one time, after wearing it for 22 hours including logged off time. To acquire them, go to [Items] then select your costume and hit [Acquire Star Gems]. You can tell if your costume will provide star gems if it has a long bar across the information panel for it that ends in a Rainbow Gem. This tracks the progress of how close you are to being able to claim star gems and when full and ready, will have a check mark on the diamond. If you do this on all 3 of your characters you are earning 30 Star Gems a day, not counting daily log in bonuses. This helps a lot with Star Gem purchases you may want from fresh finds after you run out of your bulk of them from completing the story. I know fashion is the true end game of PSO2 so if you don't want to do so on your main then you don't have to, I don't. That being said I do so on both my alts which nets me 20 Star Gems a day. Now that we are earning at least 600 star gems a month, I want to take a moment to talk about the material storage. I can't speak enough about this thing, it is amazing. If I could make a recommendation I would use story Star Gems to get the Material Storage and then use the costume Star Gems to repurchase it every 30 days for 300 star gems. The Material Storage holds all your materials like harvests, grinders, drops, quest items, monster parts, etc. and at 2500 max limit space it is hefty. But wait, there's more! Items automatically go to the material storage if they are capable of being placed there AND you do not have to pull items out of material storage to use them. That means no pulling out grinders and spheres to enhance items, no looking for harvest items in your storage to make rings, no looking for that monster part to hand a quest in. I use a male and a male cast for my alt characters as the male costumes are generally much cheaper to purchase. I usually find an outfit for about 100,000 meseta, just the ugliest, cheapest thing I can find, and then put it back up the next day on the player shop. If it sells great and if not I lower the price until it does and that's why I do dailies on multiple characters. I recommend in addition to doing the Daily client orders with the blue arrows, also grab the the exploration and supress a boss dailies. There's usually 2 or 3 of them and they are worth over 100,000 meseta. Even if you dont do them that day they will carry over and eventually your Daily Client Orders will match up with your meseta earning Client Orders.
[Freemium - Minimum Cash for Maximum Stash]
For those that can spend some but can't spend the 1500 AC a month there are some things I personally think are more important than others and I just wanted to go over that here too. Firstly, inventory space on your main. It costs about $20 to add 50 inventory slots or about $4 for 10. Having a max inventory (~$40) on your main character is pretty sweet as it can be a bummer sometimes stopping to stash constantly. Secondly, MAGs. Even though you can make it work using the above method for now, it's about $3 for a new MAG or $9 so you can have all 4 on one character which makes feeding them much much easier and you can play every class on your main. I also would like to take a moment to talk about the content of the 2 packs available for PSO2 NA right now. Right now we have the Ragol Pack and the Sonic Collaboration Pack. The Ragol Pack is $30, can be purchased multiple times and comes with:
1 month premium ($15)
One 12 AC scratch ticket ($22)
1 Gold Pass (Costs 200sg, unlocks the bottom part of the Mission Pass 'battle pass')
10 Ragol memories for some PSO flair or you can sell stuff from there that usually works out to about 4mil meseta or so.
